Our historical sailing ship Chateauroux is participating in the so called "Klipper Race", a weekend long race for large historical clipper ships. It's the first time we'll be joining for a race and will be a unique experience open to all Bounce Members!

An opportunity both if you want to learn more about sailing and also if you have not sailed before. There will be a mixed crew with experienced sailors and plenty of space for people without experience to enjoy and learn what sailing is like. Especially in a race you learn a lot..We're sponsoring the weekend to make it affordable, so Bounce Members only pay €150 on board for the weekend including food and drinks.The weekend starts on Friday evening October 11 and ends Sunday afternoon October 13. The first race on Saturday starts in Enkhuizen (a so called Anchor start, meaning we start racing anchored) and goes by Stavoren, Urk and Medemblik.The second race on Sunday is an olympic course starting and ending in Enkhuizen for which the route is determined on Sunday morning by the race committee. Next to sailing there will be time to enjoy food, drinks and have some good fun together either out in the sun on deck or in the cosy belly of the ship.The ship will be right next to Enkhuizen train station and it's a 1 hour direct train ride from the central station of Amsterdam. As soon as we know which Bounce members are joining we'll connect you so you could travel together or coordinate other things. Key info:

Location: Enkhuizen, Gependam (right next to train station)
Dates: Friday, October 11 from 16:00 on you're welcome on board until Sunday, October 14 the race ends at 16:00 (after which you're invited to stay for the price ceremony/drinks, but could go if needed)
To bring: Sleeping bag, waterproof sailing clothes, sturdy shoes.
Costs: €150 full weekend including food and drinks. (Pay on board)
